Swot Analysis of Amit Shah decision of alliance with PDP in Kashmir- FIRST STEP

This is an insight into the brlliant strategy used by B.JP. which led to removal of  article 370. Analysis is based on various observations and  data available on public domain .

FIRST STEP

It all started with announcement of 2014  jammu and kashmir  results  outcome of which is mentioned below

Bhartiya Janata Party and its core team headed my Amit Shah sat across the table to lay out the plan to abolish Article 370, and they did corporate style SWOT (STRENGTH / WEAKNESS /OPPORTUNITIES/ THREATS )  ANALYSIS .  on there core agenda of  removing artcle 370

NOTE : This part is for people who criticized BJP  for forming alliance with PDP

STRENGTH

•             BJP has a larger vote share than any other party in the state, its 23% just slightly              over the  PDP's 22.7%
•         Jammu region. In these 25 seats, it won 22 and garnered a vote share of 48.1%.
•             Had majority government at center .

WEAKNESS

• PDP's  vote share  22.7%,
• The party's vote share in valley  was a dismal 2.2%
• In ladhak region also Party getting barely 22.1% compared to over 50% for the Congress.
• No working experience in Valley and very less information on inner secrets of kashmir valley and its Politics.

OPPORTUNITY

With maximum no of seats in elections, amit shah saw  opportunity  of  making a dent in kashmir valley , at any cost they didnt wanted to stay out of government or  loose a grip on kashmir region for following reasons :

• To access all government files , and  understand rock bottom of kashmir problem , make an intelligence network and strengthen bjp cadre in valley and ladhak .
• To understand working of Valley Leaders , the corruption within,  money flow channels and valley leaders connections with pakistan.
• To create an excellent coordination of different security agencies and police which was badly required to get intelligence on terror groups  and there elimination.

AND FOR ALL THIS AMIT SHAH WANTED BJP TO BE A PART OF GOVERNMENT OPERATING IN J AND K.  WHICH  WAS POSSIBLE ONLY BY COLLABRATING WITH PDP.

THREAT:

BJP had an image as nationalistic party with zero tolerance on terror will be hit and that bjp can be termed as power hungry party which can compromise on its basic ideology and moral values for everything .

BJP was known as RSS driven core Hindu nationalist  party and P.D.P. was entirely a different party which supported Kashmir cause , backing azaadi and radical gangs . Operating with pdp without  hurting its image was a difficult task .

BJP Form the Govt with PDP on the pretext of obeying the mandate of people of J&K to investigate and understand in minute details all the inner secrets of governance of J&K Govt since 1954.
